Prior to June 2006 Serbia and Montenegro reported essential medicines consumption data together. On 3 June 2006, Montenegro became recognized by the World Health Organization as an independent country. The graphs below provide the Essential Controlled Medicines consumption data trends from 2001 to 2020 in milligrams per capita and Morphine Equivalence (ME) milligrams per capita, as reported to the International Narcotics Control Board (INCB).
