The Global Institute of Psychosocial, Palliative and End-of-Life Care (GIPPEC) has an open call to their trainee program that provides research mentorship, training, infrastructure and the opportunity to engage with an interdisciplinary network of scholars and investigators focused on research that addresses medical, psychosocial and societal problems related to advanced and terminal disease.

The University of California San Francisco Division of Geriatrics and the San Francisco VA Geriatrics, Palliative, and Extended Care groups offer two fellowships with up to 10 spots that provide training opportunities for fellowship candidates interested in palliative care research. The fellowship is part of a Global Palliative Educational Consortium (GPEC) pilot initiative.

The International Association for Hospice & Palliative Care (IAHPC) hosts a Global Leaders in the Advancement and Development of Palliative Care (GLAD) Program, designed to support palliative care workers from any discipline, who have demonstrated leadership capabilities, and who wish to advance palliative care in their own countries in line with United Nations (UN) Organizations resolutions and commitments and builds on the Leadership Development Initiative (LDI) to increase global palliative care capacity.
